Meditation is all about calming the mind. This means that the most important part of the meditative process is setting the proper mood.

Meditation has a base Obstacle of Hesitation, the amount that your mind is easy to calm. This means that there's several factors for meditation:

Time:

- 1 hour: -1 Ob

- 4 hours: -2 Ob

- 10 Minutes: +0 ob

- 1 Minute: +2 Ob

- 3 Actions: +3 Ob

Pressure:

- In Control: -2 Ob

- Time Limit within a day: +0 Ob

- Time Limit within seconds of finishing Meditation: +1 Ob

- Failed a Steel Check Recently: +Margin of Failure Ob

- There is another important factor for meditating - meditating on an opponent.

When you see the opponent being meditated on, you may make a Perception test against one of:

- Obstacle of their key attribute (Power or Agility for a fight, Will for an argument, Perception for an Academic debate and so on).

- Vs Falsehoods if they are trying to lie to you

- Vs Inconspicious if they are trying to lay low

In place of that you can make an Ob 4 Aura Reading trait (this works with Manhunter)

If you get a read on your opponent you add (Their Key Attribute - Your Key Attribute) to the Ob, or your Margin of Failure.

For example: Israfil is meditating on debating Morgan, and reads his aura. Succeeding on the aura reading test, Israfil reduces their Ob by 1 because of Morgan's B5 to their B6.

Trait:

Steeled Mind (Die, 2pts): Use 10-Steel instead of 10-Will for the Meditation obstacle.

Practiced Mind (Call-On, 2 pts): This is a Call-On for Meditation if you are under pressure
