Theory: God of Spirits was all genders. The Namer Spirit is an incomplete shard seeking to make himself whole. Starting from only the male gender it seeks out the most exact opposite, hence Namers until now coming from mostly female gendered material beings. This fusion of the binary would still be incomplete compared to the true God of Spirits though. Once some balance between male and female is reached it would naturally seek out the vast array of genders.^[1]
